General Info:
Tonight in the Coliseum at 7pm, the 12th ranked Cornhuskers (9-0) dual the 6th ranked Buckeyes (7-0, 1-0) from Ohio State. The big story tonight is that the Huskers are looking to go 10-0 for the first time in school history, and would be one win away from tying the longest win streak in school history. That kind of feat, specifically in the dominant B1G conference, will be no easy feat. This is the Huskers' first B1G duel and the 2nd B1G duel for the Buckeyes. Matches will be broadcast on BTN.com (subscription needed) or you can follow live stats with www.TrackWrestling.com. Admission is $10 and if you come early, you can see some high school talent at 5pm. Husker wrestling has six top 25 ranked wrestlers at their weight division, with 5 of them in the top 10. After tonight, the Huskers take on 1st ranked Iowa, which will be aired (with tape delay) at 9pm on BTN on January 13th. Wrestlers to watch after the jump.

Wrestlers To Watch: (Weight Bracket in parentheses)
Tucker Lane(HWT): Looking for 100th career win as a Cornhusker. He would be the 20th wrestler to accomplish this feat.
Robert Kokesh(165): Currently 17-2 record and 9-0 in duals. He is a redshirt freshman. Kokesh is also the first Husker to make B1G honors this season (Wrestler of the Week)
Jake Sueflohn (141) and James Green (157): Both true freshman are ranked in the top 10 and are very entertaining to watch.
Coaching Honors:
Head coach Mark Manning surpassed the 150 win mark earlier this season, with his current record at Nebraska sitting at 158-61-3. He is averaging 13 duals a season during his tenure with the Huskers, and earlier in the season has earned the honor of FILA Freestyle Coach of the Year. Coach Manning is a very prolific coach. We should be honored to have him.
The Opposition:
From Huskers.com: Ohio State will feature one of the youngest and most talented lineups in the country, with nine of their ten projected starters being either sophomores of freshmen. The Buckeye's own a 7-0 dual record and have defeated three ranked opponents in No. 15 Virginia Tech, No. 9 Pittsburgh and No. 20 Kent State. The Buckeye's also participated in the Wrestle for a Cure Duals, where they beat Utah Valley, Old Dominion and North Carolina.
Obviously tOSU is very good. It will be a tough dual, but also a great warm up for the Hawkeyes next week.
Synopsis:
This is my first fanpost, but I am trying to get the word out about the Huskers wrestling program. Tonight is a very good match set with a lot of young and raw talent on both sides of the mat. I strongly encourage anyone who wants to support the program to go tonight and Monday against our rival, the Hawkeyes. If anyone wants more reason to go, read this article and watch the video. Just one more reason to believe in The B1G Red. GBR!

Thanks!
In all honesty, I didn’t even know I could do this until it was recommended. I’ll try to keep everyone updated here on scores and matchups in the future. Seeing as Iowa is our rival now, and they are always so beastly at wrestling, it will be fun to face them all the time as interconference rivals.

This is great!
Nebraska seems to be competing quite well in all sports in our new conference (minus men’s BB).

Very nice post, Adam.
And, thanks for bringing the wrestling team’s success to our attention. I’m looking forward to more updates from you.
