The NFL has issued invitations to four Huskers: defensive tackle Jared Crick, cornerback Alfonzo Dennard, linebacker Lavonte David, and offensive tackle Marcel Jones. Nobody should be surprised by the first three invitees; Jones is a pleasant surprise. In the weeks' ahead, more invitations may be coming. Offensive tackle Yoshi Hardrick did not earn an invitation but hopes to still impress scouts by working hard. At least that's what he's said on Twitter earlier today:
Gotta lot to prove , I'm at the bottom on the barrel ! Disrespectful , no senior bowl or combine invite
#hardworkpayoff

Prior to the NFL Combine, David and Dennard will be participating in the Senior Bowl on January 28th. The Senior Bowl is the most prestigious of the all-star games, as the game is coached by NFL staffs. Jones and safety Austin Cassidy will play this Saturday in the East-West Shrine game.

Will be interesting to see how they progress during the coming months
Crick, I believe, will either need to bulk up to continue DT at next level. From what I have read, some are projecting him as a DE in NFL. Wonder where David, 6’1 220 lbs, will play? He reminds me a lot of Demorrio Williams. Dennard should do well and go in the first round.

As a Broncos fan
with the 2 biggest needs being MLB and CB in my eyes, hoping to land one of the two of Dennard and David. Think they have everything you need to be 10 year pros at their position even with their lack of ideal size.
